Roadies 19 marks Rhea Chakraborty’s return to TV: ‘It’s a good feeling to be back’

Rhea Chakraborty, a well-known Indian actor and model, is all set to make her comeback on the small screen with the 19th season of the popular reality TV show “MTV Roadies”. Chakraborty, who has previously been a part of reality shows such as “Pepsi MTV Wassup” and Bollywood movies like “Mere Dad Ki Maruti”, will be one of the gang leaders alongside Prince Narula and Gautam Gulati on the show. The upcoming edition of the long-running series is hosted by Sonu Sood.

Chakraborty was recently in Delhi for the auditions of “MTV Roadies – Karm ya Kaand” and was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the contestants who showed up. She expressed her happiness about being a part of the show, saying, “It feels so good to be back.” The auditions for the much-awaited season 19 were held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Complex, Pragati Vihar, New Delhi, and attracted young people from all over the city and its neighbouring areas.

During the auditions, the gang leaders interacted with the contestants and encouraged them to give their best. The contestants went through rounds of group discussions, showcasing their strength, stamina, and mental fortitude. The shortlisted Roadies will now advance to the personal interview round.

Chakraborty’s life took a drastic turn after the sudden death of her actor boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020. She was accused of abetting his suicide and misappropriating his wealth by his family. This led to intense trolling and media scrutiny, which many felt was a “witch-hunt”. Chakraborty eventually took a break from work after Rajput’s death.

Chakraborty was last seen in the 2021 thriller “Chehre”, featuring megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Despite the controversy, she has maintained her dignity and composure throughout, and her fans are eagerly awaiting her return to the small screen. With her talent and charm, she is sure to make a lasting impact on the 19th season of “MTV Roadies”.
