Lionsgate has released the official trailer for its upcoming Finnish historical action film, Sisu, directed by Jalmari Helander. The film stars Jorma Tommila in the lead role and features Aksel Hennie, Jack Doolan, Mimosa Willamo, and Onni Tommila. The two-minute-24-second-long trailer showcases a solitary prospector (Jorma Tommila) crossing paths with Nazi forces on a scorched-earth retreat in northern Finland during World War 2. When the Nazis try to steal his gold, they quickly discover that they are dealing with no ordinary miner. The trailer has been received with excitement by fans and critics alike, with many eagerly anticipating the release of the film.
20th Century Studios shared the official trailer of its upcoming direct-to-digital film Boston Strangler on Tuesday. Directed by Matt Ruskin, the film stars Keira Knightley, Carrie Coon, Alessandro Nivola, Chris Cooper, David Dastmalchian, and Morgan Spector. The one-minute-53-second-long trailer introduces us to Loretta McLaughlin (Knightley), the reporter who broke the story of the Boston Strangler. Along with reporter Jean Cole (Coon), McLaughlin challenged the sexism of the era, pursuing the story at personal risk and uncovering corruption that cast doubt on the identity of the strangler. Boston Strangler is scheduled to be released on Hulu on March 17.
Walt Disney Studios dropped the official trailer of its upcoming sports drama film, Chang Can Dunk, directed by Jingyi Shao. The film stars Bloom Li in the titular role, along with Ben Wang, Dexter Darden, Chase Liefeld, and Anthony Lopez. The two-minute-10-second-long trailer introduces us to Chang, who declares, “Freshman Chang is no more. Chang 2.0 is here!” It follows Chang, a 16-year-old Asian American high school student in the marching band, who bets the school basketball star that he can dunk by homecoming. He finds a coach in a former basketballer and is now a salesman who films YouTube videos of his student’s progress. Chang Can Dunk will be streaming on Disney+ from March 10.
