Goan company gets listed in Inc. 5000 despite hard-hitting global pandemic

Inc. magazine revealed that SJ Innovation is No. 4442 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the Americas fastest-growing private companies.

The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

SJ Innovation is a New York based IT-based company founded by Shahed Islam and Shahera Choudhury in 2004. The company houses 150+ employees across 5 locations (New York, Dhaka, Sylhet, Goa, Ukraine), with the majority of the team based in Goa. The goal of the company is to keep the employees happy and bring success to its clients.

The company also celebrated 17 years of business on August 18, coinciding with the Inc. 5000 inclusion at #4442. The company has work experience on over 3000 websites, including Fortune 500 clients such Johnson & Johnson, Janssen Pharma, and many other US-based companies.

SJ Innovation has signed an MOU with 2 Engineering colleagues – Goa Engineering College (GEC) and Padre Conceição College Of Engineering (PCCE) under the Centre of Excellence for Employability Enhancement (CEEE) program, to provide industry exposure opportunities to students. They often participate in guest lectures, events, online webinars with various institutes in Goa to guide students.
